They're Metal!
When I had to replace my old stove, the installer accidentally took my metal stove strips, along with the old stove.

I wasn't too upset until I started looking to replace them and found that they're all white plastic (instead of metal) now-a-days. I have an almond-colored range, plus worry about foods (such as spaghetti sauce) staining white plastic.

This dealer was the only that I could find, at Amazon or anywhere else, that still sells the metal strips.

They shipped them quickly and they're even nicer than the ones that I had previously ... For one thing, they have a smoother surface than the ones I had before, which will make them easier to keep clean, as grease tended to stick in the brushed surface of the other ones. They're wider than the ones I had before, too. Very sturdy and not likely to bend. I'm happy.

They're each sold individually so you'll need to order two if you want to have one for each side of the stove...

No more open spaces
The product does a great job of sitting between the stove and the countertop to bridge that gap. Less crumbs and spills in between now....

GE WB44X232 Electric Oven Broil Element

Slight Temperature Variation
The broiler element arrived on time and installed easily as expected. It has been in use for over three months. We have noticed a slight variation in the temperature along its length. As an example, this could result in one piece of bread toasting lightly while another piece just inches away gets dark. It is not a large variation but sometimes it needs to be taken into account when broiling by rotating the dish.

Electric Oven Broil Element
Easy to install and works great! Just as described and met all expectations. It is great to be able to purchase items such as this at such a great price.

Good replacement
Item was exactly as described and fit with no problems and is working like it should. The oven is now back in business!

Sensio Bella 13587 Meatball Maker, Red

Meatball Maker
This item was not good! The meatballs burn on the bottom before being cooked as there is not a temperature adjustment. It also is very difficult to clean. It took way too much time to clean. We are very disappointed and wil be returning it.

I love it
Makes excellent meatballs. The only problem is that the indicated cooking time is too long. I cook for twenty minutes, turning the meatballs with a fork after ten minutes.
They do not stick if you spray with Pam and the recipe that came with it is excellent for meatball sandwiches topped with cheese.

Worth the clean up?
Hmmm...the meatballs were great and perfectly cooked. But clean up took forever, and I still don't think the nooks and crannies got clean enough. The instructions tell you how to clean the grills (the unit is not immersible), but they don't tell you that you can't get all of the grease out of the drip holes, the area surrounding the dripholes, etc. Needing Qtips to clean a kitchen appliance before you can put it on the shelf? Not good. I think Sensio is a very responsive company, but I wish they had engineered removable grills before putting this on the market. They seem to have tested the cooking--but not the whole appliance in the real world.

BISSELL 2101B Sweep-Up Sweeper

Sweet Sweep-Up!
I am not sure what is going on with the other reviewers here and their Sweep-Ups. I just bought this at a local hardware store, mine is blue, not expecting anything fabulous, but lo-and-behold, I was amazed at how much pet hair, crumbs, even a small pile of fine dirt, that it picked-up. No, this is not a vaccum, nor did I expect it to be, but for quick in-between vaccuming jobs, this works quite well for me. I also love the fact that there is no electricity or batteries required. We have a dog and a cat that both shed a lot, and this is a big help to keep the hair under control.

great for crumbs
I have 2 toddlers and 1 baby, so you can imagine the crumb mess they can create during the day, this thing is easy to push and picks the mess up. I don't care if it picks up dirt to the point of leaving the floor shiny, that's what my broom/vaccum are for. i purchased this item to help me pick up random cherio spills, hairballs, dustbunnies, glitter spills (and similar messes) and does the job wonderfully

A Real Relief!
I just got this item, but have used it already and can't begin to express how pleased I am. First, the shipping was so fast I was amazed. Second, here's the important stuff!- I was given a lovely plush carpet with a deep blue background, shows EVERYTHING! The woman who gave it to me is super clean and I am embarrassed by how this rug always looks grungy- I have a cat with super fine fur, and just couldn't get it off the rug, even with my nice Oreck electric broom- doesn't help that the rug is laid over a Berber carpet, so there are a few lumpy places that the Oreck just won't address. This little ol' sweeper is getting everything on one pass, even on the bumpy parts, the rug is getting as clean as when it was put down. Third, I have leg and arm issues, need something light- this is the one! And in my crowded little living room I am able to maneuver around and under furniture very well. Panasonic Type C-4 MC-150PF Vacuum Bags 5 Pack

Just great!
It is very difficult to find vacuum bags for my vacuum cleaner. It's like finding a hidden treasure that sometimes I end up spending money on the bags that are not meant to fit the vacuum cleaner that I'm using. Cutting, taping, and all kinds of art work had to be done to use my vacuum cleaner. I can't believe I'm finding a joy over a vacuum bag but after all the hassle I've been through, I'm so glad I found the perfectly fitted bags. I hope they never stop selling them on here. I ended up getting 20 of them just in case. There was bit of a problem getting them delivered to my house, which I had to go pick them up myself, but the seller made sure to notify me about it.

It was what I needed to have to get to work. Found what I needed on Amazon.com. and I purchased it.

Our vacuum for this is 17 years old from Best Buy. Best Buy does not have these bags for such an old vacuum laying on the shelves in their stores. I guess Best Buy could order these bags, but getting these though Amazon is much more convenient. Also I believe the price is better at Amazon.

Hub caps really dressed up the cart!
Bought a used golf cart and wanted to dress it up a bit. We did a little detailing and it looked OK, but then we found these hub caps. They came quickly and were packaged well. They are heavy grade plastic with metal tabs that really grab the rims and hold. They made the golf cart look fantastic...like a new cart and they are staying clean and shiny.

Westinghouse 3 blade fan with light (two 40w candelabra)
Received this yesterday and replaced a fan that came with the house.
Fan is a lot lighter than my previous one and better looking.
Three blades (maple and dark beechwood) two candelabra bulbs (40W each)
Install was a pain, getting the remote receiver in above the ceiling bracket
Once that was on, rest of the install was pretty easy.
Nice wireless remote, 3 speed and light bulb, runs on one 9V battery.
Fan is nice and quiet. Light is dimmable.
Not as bright as I would have liked, looking at adding a GU16.5 adapter and get some dimmable CFL's - BPESL23T/DIM
Highly recommend.

9/26/12 Update
- I found some brighter 12W CFL's with Bulbrite CF12SM/WW/E12 12Watt Compact Fluorescent Coil Candelabra Base which is near 60W each ASIN: B0030AYIKK, Item model number: CF12SM/WW/E12. They do dim a little, no buzzing sound, but are perfect for reading amongst eating. The bulbs fit perfectly, they do not stick out. I now rate this fan 5 stars...

VERY pleased!!
There was only one other review when I bought this, but I was looking for something modern, smaller diameter, light wood WITH a remote, and came upon this one. It is beautiful, and very quiet. The remote is great, with three speeds, and a light switch that dims. If you leave the light dimmed and then shut if off, it remembers the setting the next time you turn it on. As another reviewer mentioned, it is not extremely bright on the highest setting, but that's ok with us.. We did replace swap out the included bulbs for halogen bulbs, and that adds a bit of brightness. Highly recommended!!

great little fan
not too big, not too small. we put two up in our 20 x 12 kitchen/dining room and they look and operate wonderfully. lights do not brighten the area well, but we have other lighting so it's no big deal. run quiet; would greatly complement stainless appliances. have worked well circulating house heat from fireplace/gravity furnace. you need the remote to operate fan, so don't lose them! not too complicated to install. directions pretty straight forward. you don't have to hold up the fan to do the wiring. took a couple hours each. would buy others.

Jokari Burger Maker Slider Maker

Great for families and make-ahead dinners
So yea... I kept seeing those infomercials for the slider maker on tv and decided I wanted one. This was a reasonably priced alternative. And I am not disappointed. I've made several batches now and want to pass along some wisdom.

Keep the burgers on the thin side. They cook better. After you've pressed a batch, use a drinking straw to punch 3 holes in each patty. You can squeeze the excess meat out of the straw so it doesn't get wasted. You can freeze the tray of patties and then remove and snap apart each individual patty. And then store these frozen sliders in a freezer bag or container. It's nice to have a bunch on hand for quick easy snacks... When you grill them up, throw some onions on your pan and then the frozen patty. No need to flip them, as the steam vent holes you created with the straw eliminate the need for flipping. As for the buns, I've tried using hotdog buns cut in half - but they are too small. I've found both of my regular grocery stores...

Works Great
The only slider maker I have used that works like white castle.
Poking the holes is a little tedious but they are the perfect size with Martin's potatoe rolls or
Pepperidge Farms small dinner rolls as buns.

Clever & Convenient
I found this product very convenient. You just press the ground meat into the plastic container, and use the divider to create 9 sliders. I bought a large package of meat, and froze the other set of sliders for later. Everyone enjoyed the ones I prepared, and the containers cleaned up well in the dishwasher. Also, it does not take up too much storage room, a real plus in my kitchen.

Good unit
The compressor on this unit cools good and in the process as expected removes moisture that collects in the a/c bottom.It's quite funny how some people have complained that these small window units work this way and cooling efficiency is also maximized by allowing the fan to throw some of this on the coils.

The fan also works very good and blows a lot of air on high and thus it too works and is a little loud when watching TV. I also think these kind of complaints are funny and simply lower the speed to medium or low when desiring less db of sound.

I am happy with the unit and thank the mfg for making a powerful compressor and powerful fan with 3 options to change speed as well as the energy saving mode that I also use frequently. It is louder and stronger than many but not all other window units.

Quietest Window AC Unit I've come across
So this is the quietest window AC unit I've purchased in a long time. I had an old Sharp window unit, probably 15 or 20 years old, before this one. I tried replacing it with an LG and a Frigidaire unit. Both were very loud - it was impossible to watch TV with those units running. This Sharp, while not as quiet as the old one, was by far much quieter than the LG or Frigidaire. Cooling power is decent - on par with the other two.

I bought this space heater after searching for something to quickly heat up my bedroom in the winter, so I wasnt running the whole house heater all evening. I have had this for 5 months now and it has worked flawlessly! The remote is super handy as well. From the remote you can turn the power on, turn swivel off and on, increase the temp setting, and change the mode. Thats the other great thing - it has a mode that just blows air like a fan, a low heat setting and a high heat setting. It also has an eco setting, but Im not quite sure what that does. The ONLY drawback Id say for this, is that you cant sent the timer from the remote. You have to set the timer on the unit itself. The timer is great too, you can set it for 30 minute increments, up to several hours. Ive never tested it, but it also has a tip feature that shuts the machine down if it falls over. Sorry to disagree with the other reviews, but this heater has been great for me!

50/50 chance of working
I bought 2 of these. One quit working after 3 months. The other one is still going strong. So, overall, taking the average, I'd give 2.5 stars. The still working unit is great.

This might help you to fix your problem
When it works, it works well. However I have had a great deal of problem with the unit shutting down almost immediately upon turning it on.

After much aggravation it dawned on me that the blower fan was not spinning. I took the unit to my workshop, removed the screws from the rear of the unit, applied WD-40 to each bearing, plugged the unit in and gave the fan a little push to get it going. After a few seconds I turned the unit off and back on - no fan action. I got the fan going again and let it run for a few minutes, turned it off and back on again. This time it started up fine.

I reassembled the unit, returned it to the house, plugged it in and it is working fine. All this was done just minutes ago so I do not know if the unit will keep on working properly.

I wanted to put this information out on the WWW to let others know that, if they have the same problem, this may be a solution.

Heaven Fresh HF 707 Digital Ultrasonic Cool and Warm Mist Humidifier and Ionizer - with Remote Control

Best Humidifier I've Ever Had!
This is by far the best humidifier I've ever had. Living in a cold weather climate (MA), I need the humidity to counteract the effects of dry air. Otherwise, I get nose bleeds all the time. I took a chance when buying it as there were no reviews for me to read. It is pretty much as advertised. The 1.6 gallon reservoir has an easy-to-pick-up handle for refilling. The cap is a bit difficult to unscrew, so I put a lubricant on the threads to grease it up which helps. It does shut off automatically when dry/empty. It's very quiet and does not leak. I put it next to my bed and it doesn't disturb my sleep at all. It's very easy to clean. Use a little white vinegar once a week. Just put the ceramic nano-silver filter in cup of white vinegar for ten minutes and use a few drops of vinegar to clean the sensor. No need to buy new filters, cartridges, or mineralization pads. I have noticed a little white dust in the room, but far less than the Bionaire ultrasonic humidifier I used to...

Bright light and poor area coverage
I tried this unit and filed for a return after one week. I bought the unit despite it having only three reviews. Now I question these reviews because they all gave five stars and I completely hate this product.

KitchenAid Pro Line Series Burr Coffee Mill - Onyx Black KPCG100

Substantial, made to last construction.
I chucked my old burr grinder in favor of something more substantial, and the KitchenAid steps up to the plate.

A couple of cons:
1) It is big. It comes close to the size of my coffee maker in terms of space. Fortunately, I have a big kitchen.
2) No automatic off. Simple Off/On toggle on the side.

Many Pros:
1) Again, substantial glass and metal presentation. You get what you pay for. Did it ever occur to you all the old metal and glass mixers and appliances in grandma's kitchen that have been beaten within an inch of their life, but still work after all these years? Invest in something that's made to last, period. I wanted an anti-static glass coffee receptacle (I can't stand when the ground coffee flies all over the counter from a plastic container), and a metal appliance. Great presence on the countertop. Beam me up scotty.
2) Well constructed. Really not much to assemble, and the unit fits together well, unlike its plastic cousins. I like...

Serious Grinder for Seriously Good Coffee
This is an excellent coffee grinder. It has a powerful, yet quiet motor and the grind selection dial is robust. The straight, vertical path of beans through the grinder makes it very trouble free. The only downsides are it is big, heavy and takes up a fair amount of counter space. This is a serious grinder, but it makes seriously good coffee.

Great grinder, but not made in America like the mixers are.
I like this grinder. It is very reliable, quiet and doesn't generate too many fines or dust. Most other grinders on the market are made of plastic, are noisy and have tiny burrs that spin at high speed creating lots of fines in the grind, overheats the beans and easily jam up. This grinder has large burrs that rotate at very low rpm which greatly increases burr life, reduces noise, does not overheat the beans, produces fewer fines and is much less likely to jam. According to Kitchenaid the burrs will grind 600 - 800 lbs of coffee before they are worn out and need to be replaced.

I never had issues with the glass breakage like other people. However, I recommend you jiggle the jar that catches the grinds before pulling it away because sometimes grounds cling to the plastic flange over the jar and will fall down once the jar is removed.

As for the negative points. The grinder is only available in one color now.... Black. You can't buy white colored grinder to...

Arm & Hammer Vacuum Bags - Eureka F & G - 18 bags

Sturdy Bag
I've used Eureka vacuums for the last 30 years (they last forever) but they consistently blow out the bag. This one seems to hold up well. But, it seems to plug up before there is very much debris in the bag. We vacuum daily as we have three indoor-outdoor cats and wall to wall carpeting. I like the fact that the bags hold up.

Not Sure Reviews are Trustworthy
At this time if you search single serve coffee makers and sort by average review, this item pops up first. And as such i just want to warn you that most of the 61 reviews here look to be fake. I checked 40+ of the 61 reviewers and only 3 had reviewed multiple items. Additionally most of the reviews here are very short... and i know from my perspective, if i'm going to take the time to review something i'm going to write more than a sentence or two. And finally most of the reviews as of today 6/18/13, were written in the last 45 days.

If you want to flame me for giving it 3 stars without having used the product that's fine, but it seemed like the only way to differentiate this review so that more people might see it... and i don't think one 3 star review is going to hurt the overall rating.

Anyway, this might be a fine coffee maker... but don't rely too heavily on the reviews found here.

works but stuck with their expensive disposable coffee trays
I have a Hamilton single serve which looks identical to this and i love (and costs less too). The pods are 25 cents each and it works fantastic with no clean up. This item is the same....except it has disposable trays...so you have to buy their VALET coffee which is 50 cents a serving! I"m paying so much extra i should just buy another Hamilton and save the money in coffee in a month! Also you can't reuse the plastic trays-- they curl up god knows what chemicals they pit in your food as they melt. AND the Hamilton trays won't fit in this machine, so you're stuck. Really wish they'd make it obvious this isn't like other single services you can put your own coffee sacks in.

Absolutely horrible
I am so sorry I bought this. The coffee is not very hot and tastes awful. The unit would have a redeeming feature if you could use your own coffee when you dislike theirs but there appears to be no coffee holder basket available made either by this manufacturer or an independent one. Indeed, the seller states " The sale of these brew baskets to you ("Buyer") is conditioned on your agreement, and a requirement that, the BREW BASKETS can only be used with filter packs, beverage dispensers, or the like acquired from SELLER or an authorized agent of SELLER". Since the coffee is contained is said filter packs, the company has attempted to force all future purchases for this machine from them. I hate "being forced", especially if I do not like the product. I would highly recommend against the purchase of this machine. As it is, mine is going on the trash pile.

The Kitchen Aid uses a coupler on top of the motor which spins the blade that's made out of rubber over metal which will break if you make lots of frozen fruit drinks. That's what I had happen.
The Waring uses the same type of design, but the difference is that you can buy a replacement ($5.95) and put it on yourself with a wrench If it were to ever come apart. The Kitchen Aid has to be serviced, take apart the motor to get to it from the inside etc.

This Waring Blender is very powerful! It's loud and spins very fast. Which makes it blend in a fraction of the time of others. It makes my old Kitchen-Aid seem like a childs toy in comparison.

It's much more obviously commercial through heft, simplicity of design and function and servicability.

It has only 2 speeds. Professional chefs say that's all you need. it has a simple toggle switch, no multiple speed electronic gimmics. Just very functional.

Daily user - fruit smoothies for breakfast
Over the past 3 years, we have owned a 'commercial quality' KitchenAid with a stainless steel pitcher and a high end Oster unit.

Neither blended milk, frozen fruit, soy powder, and cottage cheese properly. The Kitchen Aid always left a blob of non-blended material plus chunks of fruit in the bottom.

We purchased the Waring Mega-Mix 5 months ago after reading the reviews on Amazon.com. We use it at least once daily.

Pluses:

1. Blends frozen or fresh fruit amazingly quickly and completely.

2. Mixes powders, fluids, and solids completely and efficiently.

3. Incredibly powerful motor

4. Polycarbonade pitcher is light weight and seems very strong.

5. High quality construction and commercial look to it.

Minuses:

1. Initially offered us a 'burnt' odor for the first 3 weeks of use (Amazon reviews warned of this)

Oster Metallic Purple 2 Slice Toaster with Bagel Option

I started out by looking for an Oster toaster, which is by far one of the best brand of toaster I have ever owned, and imagine my surprise when I saw one that was purple!! My favorite color. The colors in my kitchen are lavender and green. It fits right in with my decor, toasts perfectly and I LOVE IT!!

I bought this same toaster in silver and I got it at Target cheaper than priced here. I can't believe how solid this toaster is made and how beautifully it toasts! I tried 2 other brands of toasters ( and returned them ) because they couldn't even do the basic..... toast bread evenly! that's the whole purpose right? toast bread? If that's what you want then this is a great toaster and I would have paid more just glad I didn't have to!

Pretty to look at it, Works even Better!!
To be honest, I bought this toaster mainly because of the gorgeous purple color. I just knew that it would look great in my kitchen! I held out little hope for it to actually work well as I've never had much luck with toasters actually toasting my breads well enough to my liking. Boy was I surprised by this little beauty! Not only does it look great, but it toasts all of my breads--thick sourdough, raisin, and even bagels, very, very well!! From very light, barely toasted to very dark toasted. Love it!!

Dyson Pet Clean-Up Accessory Kit

good kit when on sale
I picked this kit up for just under a third of retail. At that price it is a good kit. It comes with the zorb powder and dysolv spray. I haven't really seen a big benefit with either over other similar cleaners, they work like most spot removers (dysolv) and the zorb freshens but I haven't noticed a big difference in carpets treated with it. Both came with my vacuum originally and if they weren't in this kit I won't have likely made a point of buying them again. The biggest reason for me that I grabbed it at the low price a month ago was I wanted the flexible crevice tool. The tool alone sells for the cost I got the kit at so picking up the cleaning solutions was just a nice bonus.

Great Combo
Good combination. Worked very well on my Dyson DC25 Animal. The only downside is that there is nothing to keep any of these accessories attached to the vacuum when not in use so now i have to keep a plastic back with the extra attachments hanging on the vacuum when not in use. Not really this products fault, more Dyson's fault than anything.

Works okay
This attachment set works...okay. The fabric attachment winds up getting a lot of hair and fuzz stuck on the felt part so it doesn't get sucked into the vacuum. The carpet cleaner doesn't do anything except make the carpet smell better. It might work well for people with short haired animals, but it doesn't work with golden retriever hair.

Black & Decker DCM2160B 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Black

Not a good product, here's why...


Design Issues
The DCM2160 Coffeemaker has a few design issues.
1) The most bothersome for us is that the carafe dribbles when pouring a cup of coffee or using it to fill the water tank.
2) Another issue is that the lid of the coffee maker is hinged at the back and allows the water condensation that collects on the lid to drip down the back of the coffee maker and end up all over the kitchen counter.
3) Another, but less severe, issue is that the drip apparatus is connected to the lid so it gets in the way when trying to fill the water tank.

If you enjoy wiping down your kitchen counter every time you make coffee and every time you pour a cup, this is the one for you. FYI, I did try to inform Black & Decker but have not had a response to the comment I submitted on their website.

DO NOT BUY!
I wrote a review a while back when I first bought the black-colored version of this coffee maker. I wrote about the clock not working for more than a day, and also gave measurements to show that the coffee maker does not work well with overhead cabinets because the lid raises up and hits the cabinets.

Well, today the coffee maker died. It stopped pumping, and the heater element isn't turning on. I only had this coffee maker for a few months, and already it is broken. For $29, I did get what I paid for.

BUYER, please beware! This is a VERY cheap coffee maker!!!

Beautiful 1.5 qt slow cooker
I was hesitant to order this since there were only two reviews, and one was very negative. I have had it about 5 days, and have made at least three meals with it. It is very like the the slow cooker that it replaced, another brand, but the same wattage, etc. This one appears to work just fine, and I very much like the red color. It also has a defrost setting, which I have used one time, and found it very useful. Otherwise, it is just like my old 1 1/2 quart model. That one lasted 7 years. For one or two people this size is ideal. For soups, beans, spaghetti sauce, and small portions of meat, like pork chops, it can not be beat.

terrific for my needs
I was looking specifically for a small slow cooker to use for making oatmeal overnight. I already own several larger ones, but only needed two or three servings of oatmeal. This ones works beautifully and is by far the most aesthetically appealing of the four I own, if you can extend the word "aesthetic" to a slow cooker. Cleans up easily with a removable insert that releases food easily.

Mini size for small families or individual servings.
Got this pot for the single purpose of making soups that helps wife recoup faster after giving birth. This little pot does the job perfectly. The size is just right for 1 person having 2 servings, or 2 people. Doesn't overcook, doesn't burn, nice color, doesn't take up a bunch of counter space. Don't see how the this could burn holes, perhaps it's just 1 defective one. Especially considering the tiny $14.99 price tag, this one is well worth the money.

As advertised, delivered on time
The Whirlpool door balance is an exact replacement for the broken part. It is easy to install and returned the dishwasher to working condition.

Dishwasher repair.
Not hard to replace but had to make some adjustments as these were a bit different from my originals. That's OK though because these seem to be an upgrade and better quality. It's nice to not have the dishwasher door dropping on my foot!

Broke after 2 days
When we moved into our house, the dishwasher door pulleys were already broken, so we dealt with opening a heavy door for a while, until we bought these online. The pieces were built a little differently, with a shorter rope, but fit fine and installed easily enough. I opened and closed the door with a loud screeching sound both directions. The door was supported, and the repair parts were doing their jobs, just very loudly. We used the dishwasher normally, hoping the part would ease up and the sound dissipate, but it didn't have a chance to. The day after installing while opening the dishwasher, the head of one pulley broke (where the rope is fused into the plastic). No online ordering again. We instead called our local repairman, who got us the correct after market replacement - which had been redesigned. The head where the rope is fused is straight, not at an angle, and the rope was silent. Don't buy this junk. Just call your local repair shop to get the part - you can still...

Works as expected
I agree with other reviewers that the Honeywell is relatively noisy (white noise -- like a window air conditioner) but it does the job. My main complaint about the entire system (not the filters per se) is that there is no alert to tell you that you ought to replace the filter. I tend to be fairly busy, and the first I noticed that the filter was no longer working properly was when the area near it started accumulating a very fine dust. The Honeywell was still filtering larger particles, but it was actually polluting my living room with the very fine stuff. So of course I replaced the filter. I probably should pay closer attention, but some sort of sensor would be very useful to prevent what I experienced... which was actually the opposite of what a HEPA filter does. In the absence of a sensor, just be alert to the fact that a "lifetime" filter is actually good for about a year. Put it on your calendar and don't take it as much for granted as I did. BTW, this filter DOES fit...

June Tailor Press-Mate 59-Inch-by-20-Inch Ironing Board Cover

I nearly didn't purchase this cover because of the review that said that it was just a piece of cloth that lays over the board. When I received mine, I initially thought that Richard was right. But upon a quick examination I found two draw strings that enable you to tighten this cover to any size, and snug it up nicely. I'm very happy with the purchase. As a sewer, I appreciate the grid markings on it, and the fact that it is not the typical silver reflective ironing surface that is the worst thing for tailoring and garment shaping. The duck cloth will absorb the extra steam, rather than send it back up into the garment, keeping it wet. Overall, I'm happy with the product.

The was perfect, I have an old house with a built in ironing board, this cover was long enough. I had a hard time finding one.

Durable cover
My ironing board is a "mini" rather than standard size; I made it fit with the aid of the drawstring. I really use the printed grid especially for sewing projects. The "Monk" in me likes to keep things plumb and square!! The fabric is sturdy. I didn't want something shiny, silvery and smelly. This is like Grandma's--only better.

This little refrigerator is compact, quiet, keeps things cold and appears fairly sturdy. I also like the stainless finish, which is more modern than the white one I used to own. I had the same model (white) for 15 years before it broke. I'm happy with the purchase.

Great Micro Fridge
The SPT 1.8 cu ft compact stainless steel refrigerator is a very nice micro fridge. The unit is compact, sleek, and quiet. It has easily surpassed my expectations for such an affordable appliance. I have a similar unit from Haier that always ices up and has no manual temperature control. For the price, this unit seems to be the best in its class.

Honeywell Easy to Care Cool Mist Humidifier, HCM-710

Very convenient!
I've been using the Honeywell Cool Mist for several weeks. It works great. Hums along on high about like a bathroom fan. I really like the convenience of using tap water, and not having to disassemble it when I fill it. It's easy to overlook regularly cleaning it, but beware, the filter gets very grungy after a month's use. You risk cultivating your own bacterial soup and blowing it out in your room if you fail to keep it clean. The anti-bacterial inserts might help, I didn't get one. Buy a bunch of filters so you can change them at least monthly.

Chapped lips and hands are a thing of the past
I live in a small one bedroom apartment. During the winter months I run this humidifier 100% of the time, on the low (quiet) fan speed setting. I do this as preventative maintenance for chapped lips and hands. I've measured changes of between 10 and 20% in humidity using a digital hygrometer. This humidifier requires regular wick replacement at $13 a pop, as well as weekly cleaning to prevent it from smelling like a shoe. After 5 months of use, and maintenance, I am still satisfied with my purchase. Chapped lips and hands are a thing of the past!

Okay for small bedroom
I bought this humidifier from Sears to use in my bedroom after getting tired of filling the whole house humidifier.
I can tell the difference as to whether I use it or not. Definitely, it does add water to the air. It puts about 2 quarts of water into the air overnight, and then you can refill it and run it during the day if you want. Without it, I tend to get a dry throat and wake myself coughing. Maybe other brands do better. This one was adequate for what I needed.

Dyson DC41 Upright Ball Vacuum (Refurbished)

Brand Loyal
I'm never brand loyal. I buy generics and shop around for deals. But Dyson has really turned that around on me. Ever since I tried the one my mother bought 6 years ago, I've never used anything else. I originally bought one for heavy use and a lighter (more portable) one for daily use a couple years later. This model in particular is of the original design. They are heavy and more work to move around, but the extra suction is worth it. My brother has severe allergies that the vacuum helped to alleviate.

A few additional notes:
-Dumping of dust is fast and easy. Just unlatch, then press a button which allow the bottom to fall out.
-Cord is still manual roll up, they have some models which allow you to press a button and the cord will retract.
-Hair/long fibers will get rolled up in the head. You can actually remove the inside to clean it out without much fuss.
-Love the amount of attachments available and what they can do.

Had ours for 6 years
We have the Dyson Animal and I can't say anything bad about it. It picks up everything you need it to and has many attachments for different applications. It has NO belts to break. It is easy to maintain. It sucks the hair and dirt out of the carpets.

Before Dyson we were replacing our vacuum cleaners every year- at 70 to 200 a pop. The belts would continue to break and were a pain to replace. The floor did not get very clean. Now when we vacuum the carpet we can visibly see dirt brought in by our dog - a lab. We have two big shedders in the house and this vacuum really cleans the floor.

So... before you panic at the price determine how long you keep your vacuum cleaners- - do you have to buy bags, replacement belts - and then see if this is a better investment for you. Ours is still going strong. No bags, no belts - minimal maintenance to clean rollers.

Best Vacuum by far
Bought this for $300 delivered on a one day deal. Said refurbished but I see zero signs of anything but brand new. Only difference is you get 6 month warranty. For half price I'll take the risk. I was a little afraid of an upright with all hardwoods but it works awesome. Push of a button and I can transition to the area rugs. Very pleased. Over time I assume the coiled attachment hose will relax but right now when I pull on the hose to reach something with an attachment the vacuum is right up my you know what...

I didn't read the description well.
I gave it a 4 out of 5 simply because I didn't read the description, only went by the FIRST picture (which is blue). This product is exactly like the white pad pictured (hope that picture stays up). because the original product (blue ones) have more of a rough surface than these white ones I feel like I have to go over stuff more often than with the blue ones; I feel like they don't clean as well as per the number of times I have to go over a dirty spot. And I clean slowly so the steam has a moment to do something (disinfect). But I'm not returning them because I already opened all the bags and threw away the stuff it came in. My bad. I didn't read the description well enough nor did I look at the pictures well. Sigh..... But I'm content enough with the product.

Just as good as the original ones
Somehow I misplaced my original pads when moving. I ordered these, and they work great. The texture is a little different than the original pads, but they pick up the dirt and get the job done. They are white instead of blue. The order came in the expected time, and I am pleased.

Aprilaire 600 Series Humidifier Water Distribution Tray

this product was listed as an aprilaire replacement part. when I recieved it the water distribution tray had a rubber or fiber gluded in strip with the bumps on it for water distribution.
the original had the bumps as part of the plastic strip. I emailed seller and they replied very timely stating it was aprilaire part but had no information on the strip.
When I had my furnace cleaned I asked my serviceman about this. He said he noticed this on recent units he installed. He believes they are like this because some people when cleaning the strip rub off the bumps thinking they were part of the dirt build up. This is what I had done hence ordering a new strip. The fiber strip is much more visible. I hope it will last so water can be distributed better.

It is OEM and works perfectly with my Aprilaire whole house humidifier. I couldn not find it cheaper anywhere else.

Replacement Dyson DC-07 Replacement Hose Part # 911862-10 (Color Varies)

NOT Dyson OEM Product - Doesn't fit DC07
There are a bunch of "aftermarket" Dyson hoses available for less than $20 but I wanted a genuine Dyson product so I paid a premium to order this product. Unfortunately, the seller is marketing a *Hoover* product as suitable for a Dyson DC07. Moving beyond the fact that that's blatantly deceptive advertising, the package doesn't even match the product! The packaging lists this hose as being compatible with the DC14...not the DC07 as advertised above.

But the real problem is how this specific item works with the DC07 - it is terrible. The fit is so tight that it's impossible to easily slide the wand and hose apart. It feels like it's just waiting to rip a hole.

Any way you slice it, this is a huge pass for anyone that needs a replacement hose for their Dyson DC07. If you're going to go with a third party replacement to save $$$, choose one of the other options. They're less than half the price of this item.

Fake replacement hose
BUYER BEWARE. This is not a real Dyson hose. I would have never have bought it had the original ad stated this was an OEM. I was charged $38, which is only a few dollars less than Dyson charges for the real hose. This cheap ripoff does not fit properly. There is now lock on the upper attachment and it is very tight putting the handle back in to the hose. If I wanted a garbage hose I would have bought the one that was $10. Worst Amazon purchase ever.

Braun Hand blender Multi Quick Professional MR5555MCA

Great hand blender - great shipper
Ordered the Braun Multiquick Professional hand blender, model MR5555MCA, from Japan Import (since it's not available in the US). We've used the Cuisinart CSB-77 for several years and liked it, but the plastic gears stripped out (as many others have complained about) and can't be repaired - bad design and/or materials as seems typical of many items manufactured in China.

Braun has a reputation for quality and we've liked other Braun products, but the hand blender was advertised as "not for US use" due to 230v/50hz requirement. Still we were willing to go with this, and get a voltage converter for use in the US.

VERY pleasantly surprised when the blender arrived from Japan, and turned out to be for US market also: 50-60Hz, 100v listed on motor, and with standard US plug. Works great, has the two-button multispeed capability, has the wisk and chopper attachments, and appears to be of better construction & quality than the Cuisinart. The manual and warranty are...

KitchenAid KFC3511WH 3.5 Cup Food Chopper

I like this chopper BUT.....
I really like the slightly larger than most container- and it is quieter than my old chopper.
Be careful though when you remove the blade- there is a black gasket and white plastic ring that help hold the blade in place. These come off unless you pull the blade up slowly. This is a poor design. These should not come off as they will be very easy to lose--- OR what happened to me: they came off in my washing the blade and went down the disposal. I managed to recover them, although damaged, and they seem (so far) to be able to hold the blade in place ok.
You also have to be careful in washing the lid as moisture gets in between the plastic layers and cannot be wiped off.

Westinghouse 7787000 Ceiling Fan and Light Remote Control

Nice product but more involved to install than advertised
Westinghouse has made a great little remote here that works as promised. However the description on their own web site neglects to mention the need to install an electronic module inside the fan. They also don't state which fan models (In their own Line) this module will not fit. We bought a Ceiling hugger model and there was no room indide the fan for the module, it had to be located in the junction box above the fan. So while the fan control works great and as described there might be a bit of work involved wiring and installing the communications module.

Sensor too big for Westinghouse fan
I purchased two of these remotes to go with two recently purchased Westinghouse fans thinking they would be easily compatible, not the case. In both cases the sensor was too big to fit in the housing unit of the fan and I was unable to use them. The directions alternate installation suggestion of on top the motor housing doesn't even seem feasible since you would then have wires exposed, not a very classy look. I am working on returning mine for a refund.

Works fine, but remote is huge!
I installed this unit with no issues on the Westinghouse Comet fan, wiring was simple. It took a few minutes to figure out how to mount it with the fan but after moving wires around I was able to make it fit nicely without much force.

Only thing I don't like about this is the remote is much larger than I would have thought it was in the picture, the remote itself is huge even for someone with large hands. I posted a picture of it on the product page.

Vicks V1300 Portable Steam Therapy

How worthless? Let me count the ways, unless you are a child, the fit does not fit. This is not an electrical device and you are only allowed to use hot tap water, about a cup's worth, so there is no steam. Save yourself a bit of money and have a hot cup of tea, it will surely produce more steam than this ill-conceived gizmo.

Too small, no electric heating!
This is not as big as it looks in the picture. It is tiny! You have to heat up the water yourself separately and then pour it into this piece of junk. There is no electric heating. Stay away from this.

Try Try Again
After reading the reviews here I wondered why on earth I had purchased this contraption. But I decided to give it a try because I had a VERY stuffy nose, it was late at night, and I was desperate. When I breathed in the vapors as indicated by the illustration on the directions not much happened. Then I tried placing my face/mouth directly on the unit creating a "seal" and breathing in deeply. The medicated vapors flooded my throat and lungs and then to my surprise I was instantly able to breathe freely through my nose! After six days of dealing with an incredibly stuffy nose, this seemed like a miracle to me! The relief was temporary but could be attained again by repeating the process. It really did help to open my nose, cool my throat, and quiet my cough. This will be coming along with me on vacation next week!

The Whirlpool Gas Valve Solenoid Kit worked perfectly with my Maytag Atlantis MDG7600AWW. Although I was initially concerned whether there were subtle diffences in solenoid gas valves for different dryers, I discovered that they are all pretty much standard for most, if not all, gas dryers. If your dryer loses heat, and it's because the gas doesn't stay on, it's likely that one of the valves went bad. You can't go wrong with this kit and replace both of them at the same time on your own.

One of the two coils was DOA.
I ordered these parts to fix my dryer issue and thought the price was too good to be true compared to the prices on other parts siets I checked. The appearance and weight of these coils seemed slightly different than the coils in my dryer. Upon replacing both coils the dryer still didn't work. I ohmed the new and old coils out and determined that only one of the old coils was broken, and only one of the new coils was good. Luckily I was able to put the old three terminal and new two terminal in and get it working. I'd be apprehensive to order these again though.

They Just Work....!
With help from the Internet, I checked the four temp control switches on the back of the dryer for continuity (after running out to buy a meter - First Time User). They were all Good, so another video showed how to pull the drum and check the gas solenoids. I wasn't up for pulling the drum, but I couldn't easily access the solenoids with it in so it had to come out - turns out it was as simple as the video showed...! Even though I didn't quite know if I was correctly testing the two- and three-lead solenoids for continuity, they appeared to be good. BUT, the symptoms everyone else mentioned indicated they were the culprit - the flame would kick on the first time but not again and after 5-8 mins everything went cold. Decided to buy this pair and stick them in. They worked like a CHAMP... They arrived super fast (in the middle of the Christmas rush) and installed even faster. The wife is happy, I'm happy. GE WR57X10033 Water Valve for Refrigerator

For ice-maker use only.
If you're planning on using this thing for anything other than making ice, you may be disappointed.

This valve can only be cycled "on" for six seconds before needing three minutes time off, otherwise it overheats and becomes useless.

GE abbreviates seconds as " (as in cartography) on their part, but spells out minutes. Both I and an electrician friend assumed that the " was just a typo and that it just needed three minutes downtime for every six minutes it was on. Not true. The part lasted about three minutes before dying.

So, if you have plans of a gravity-fed plant-watering system that just needs one 1/4" tube fitting solenoid to work properly, this is not your part. If you need something for your GE refrigerator's ice-maker, I'm sure you'll be as happy with this thing's performance.

I don't understand how somebody can write a review and give this refrigerator one star and all they keep talking about is their 4 year old refrigerator and how much is sucks. obviously this refrigerator wasn't even produce back then. Its not even the same model as the one that your rating so badly you moron.

A fantastic refrigerator!
I finally gave in and decided to replace the "came with the home" GE side by side that was still chugging away since 1998. Wow! That GE was turn of the century and the ice maker and water dispenser still worked. There was no question that only brand that could replace that GE was another GE.

Going from a side by side to a french door is unbelievable! I love the space in this refrigerator! Even though the ice maker is in the door, there are still three shelves (albeit two of them are rather narrow) placed there to still maximize the space. This refrigerator was thoughtfully designed and is easily configured to accommodate just about any sized container or item. The multiple shelves are easily raised or lowered. One shelf can retract part way to allow for extremely oversized or very tall items to fit. There are two ample drawers for either veg or fruit. I also like the temperature controlled drawer that can be used for a variety of items.

Great fridge!
I love this fridge. It is a very large unit. The only downfall is that it lacks ice productivity. I just keep a bag of ice on the freezer. I've had this unit for almost 8 months now. Ran into this review page because I'm trying to buy a water filter for it as the touch screen display is showing a replacement is required

Hamilton Beach 47701 BrewStation 12-Cup Dispensing Coffeemaker, Black

Very impressive. Read carefully for important details
Before reading further please realize two things: 1) that Hamilton Beach makes several models of their BrewStation and that they are not all the same basic design or for that matter, even a similar design to other BrewStations; and 2) that the BrewStation concept is significantly different that the stereotypical Mr. Coffee style of coffeemaker. Different doesn't necessarily mean better (or worse) so please read all of the details of this specific model before deciding whether it is the right model for you OR if the entire BrewStation concept is something you would be happy with.

Genuine Oreck Buster B Housekeeper Canister Vacuum Slinky Hose - Black

Not what I expected.
I thought I was ordering a different [slinky] type of hose for my vacuum, one that
wouldn't take up as much room when you weren't using it. I thought the slinky
concept was great! My error, as this hose slinky is so tightly sprung, that when
I pull on the nozzle end to get more reach/length it drags the canister, and won't extend.
In my opinion, it would either make a good extension hose, or should be sold for a much heavier
canister, but it's not working for me. I'm going to be ordering the more standard hose...

Short but flexible
This hose is fairly short but also more flexible than the original hose that came with our Oreck vacuum. It is also has a lot of tension that it springs back with. In time it may stretch easier but for now it's pretty tight.

Great replacement for my canister, fit perfectly. Works great just like the original hose. Would recommend this product for your Oreck canister.
