Easy, fast and an excellent price
I had called some appliance part suppliers locally and their price could not compare with this mail-order option. The part came in less time than predicted, was exactly what we needed and has performed admirably in our Viking Range. I couldn't have asked for more.
Good price for when you gotta replace them
Viking ignitors start to fail every 2-3 years depending on oven use. When the oven comes to temperature very slowly or not at all, and especially if you hear a hissing down near the gas regulator at the bottom of the oven door, it's time to replace the ignitors. This is a known "pain in the butt" with Viking.
So if you're fairly handy with a screwdriver and a wrench, buy these and replace them yourself (requires some oven floor disassembly and patience) or pay someone $250+ (or $500+ if they are Viking authorized service). The choice is yours.
As usual with Amazon, everything arrived fast and securely packed, so once I replaced the parts, we are good for 3 more years!
Viking oven igniters
This is one of the best decisions I've made. I was told by a Viking repairman that replaicng the igniters woulf cure my oven heating issues, he also informed me it would cost $450 to fix. I looked online for the igniters and discovered the parts could be purchased for $113, considerably less than what I was quoted. Installing was not difficult, total time taken for the install was about 30 minutes. Too bad some businesses look to take advantage of people by over charging for simple repairs. The ignites arrived on-time, and are working great!
