Dirt Devil Power Reach Multi-Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum, UD70095

This thing sucks good!
I don't think I've ever written a review for a product before, but I feel this baby truly deserves some recognition! I am so amazed at how well this vaccuum does its job! I thought you had to pay a lot of money to get a good vaccuum, you know, one that really works, so I went and bought a Dyson DC-25 Animal to see what it could do. I don't own any pets, but I thought that a vaccuum designed to pick up even all the pet hair in a house would be the best, and I'd heard all the hype about Dyson and how it's supposed to be so great. Then I brought it home, tried it out and thought, "really? this is supposed to be worth slmost $600?" I could not justify all that money for something that seemed to work no better than all the others I'd had before, so I took it back, disappointed. I decided to buy this dirt devil instead for less than a fifth the price based off reviews here, and man am I glad I did!! I tried it out as soon as it arrived and it sucked up stuff even the Dyson had...

awesomeeeeee
Let me just say that this vacuum is absolutely amazing! My husband picked it out online sunday night for me and it got delivered today as I was on my way out the door and as soon as I got back home I ripped that baby open. Easy assembly, only two screws for the handle. Plugged her in and fired her up. Now I vacuumed yesterday with the only vacuum I had left (Hoover circa 1965 that had belonged to my grandmother), as I had blown up a $150 Bissell a few months back. The sad thing is, the antique Hoover picks up probably a tad bit more then the 5 year old Bissell. I knew that this new Dirt Devil would be picking up some of what the Hoover had left behind, but I was truly amazed. I filled up the canister with just my living room, which is 12x17. I have two short haired dogs, so I frequently use the Carpet Fresh that helps to release dog hair from carpet. The canister had about 1.5 inches of Carpet Fresh in it, and then there was about a 4 inch pile of dog hair all the way around. I just...

My wife and I have 2 dogs and we never could find a vacuum that worked well and sucked all the hair off the carpet so we went all out and paid around $400 for a Dyson. It's not my favorite way to spend that much money but the sucking power of the Dyson didn't disappoint and it cleaned all of the carpets and got the pet hair off without having to constantly make multiple passes with it. The only problems with the Dyson are it costs a lot and every once in a while there's this horrible gear crunching noise which the instructions say is part of a belt safety mechanism to protect the belt from getting broken. Only problem is it happens every time we use it.

So when I had the opportunity to try this vacuum out I jumped. And let me tell you this thing is just as good as the Dyson.

Cons: (-1 star)
-The cord on this is not as long as the Dyson, I found I had to unplug and re-plug it twice to get my entire living room carpet cleaned. With the Dyson it's a long cord...
