Whirlpool Part Number 12400035: IGNTR-OVEN

Perfect oven igniter replacement for Maytag Model 6498XVB
My product parts manual calls for this exact part number for the oven igniter (and also the broiler igniter), and this item was an exact match including the power connector. I did not have to splice any wires or use wire nuts: the existing connector was a match to the existing power connector.

Installation and testing took 2 minutes, though there was some prep work (removing the panel behind my under-over storage drawer to disconnect the power connector made a rookie installation a lot easier).

This part costs $90 from Sears and has wildly different prices elsewhere. This is a much better price for something of this (limited) complexity.

Saved us $$$$ on appliance repair
Our 2002 oven started to experience symptoms which included taking a very long time to get up to temperature and once it did the maintained temperature setting was becoming inconsistent. Their wasn't much help in the manual other than an 800 number to call. When I switched the top and bottom igniter's around the oven started working normal again.

I did a search on Amazon's website for Maytag igniter and found one that matched the one I had taken out. The whole repair only took about 15 minutes. My wife is happy again and I don't have to pay a repairman or buy a new oven.

Maytag Maxima XL Front Load Steam Washer and Steam Dryer SET (Electric Dryer) with Pedestals

great deal! great machines!
I shopped around for a -he- washer and dryer for about 6 weeks. I finally found this set on amazon which i would have never thought to have looked for. The price cant be beat anywhere and the machines are fantastic!! The shipping is free but only to curbside so you will have to be able to have someone take them in your house and install them. They arrived in about one week and had no damage from shipping. I have never owned a -he- washer and dryer set but so far am very impressed with them!! The wash machine weighs about 300 lbs so it takes some work to move it. Also needed to purchase separately are the hoses for the wash machine and a hose for the dryer. The y adapter for the dryer steam hose is included. A cord for the dryer must also be purchased. And you will need a good leveler. They were easy to install. I am really looking forward to seeing my power and water bill go down!! Very impressed! I would recommend this set to anyone!! Just the pedastals alone run 200 dollars...

Maytag Clothes Washer / Washing Machine Pump 21002240

Possible design flaw
I couldn't be happier with the company I purchased this from and the great shipping time in which it was delivered. I will say that this drain pump could be constructed a little better. I purchased this pump to fix the loud whining coming from my washer. Install is a snap but there is an issue I noticed which is what caused the original pump to fail as well. In each of these pumps, between the metal platform and the pulley, is metal collar which I assume is supposed to protect the bearings. The loud whining from my washer initially was this same collar being forced into the metal platform and slowly grinding it's way through. After one wash with the new pump, the washer started making the same sound. After taking it apart sure enough the new pumps collar was trying to grind it's way through the platform again. It could be just two bad pumps but I'm wondering why the collar is even there when it's the problem. Before you buy a new pump -assuming you're buying a new pump to fix a loud...

Pump fell apart after one week
Received washer pump promptly from Seneca River Trading however pump fell apart after one week. I ran exactly two loads of laundry before pump started squealing like a harpooned pig. Upon examination, a piece of metal between the pulley and shaft had worked its way loose and was rubbing on the body of the pump thus a complete failure.

I contacted Amazon for a replacement but was informed I had to send back (at my expense) the pump and would be awarded a refund, not a replacement. Am still waiting for the refund.

BAD CHOICE
AFTER THE ITEM CAME IT WAS INSTALLED LEAKED ALL OVER MY FLOOR HARD WOOD NEW NOW I HAVE A DAMAGE FLOOR AND A NEW PUMP REPLACEMENT AGAIN NEVER LEARN MY LESSON NEVER AGAIN
